First off, I'd like to congratulate the Concert and Symphonic Bands of LHS for a fantastic concert last night. I saw many of our middle school students and parents in attendance so we hope you enjoyed what you heard!
A few important bits of information:
7th and 8th Graders-Most of you have received Solo and Ensemble music for the S and E contest on April 20th. This is an ALL DAY event so please plan accordingly. The music you have been given is a major priority in your practice time between now and then.
8th Graders-Fundraiser Pick-up is tomorrow! 8:30-10:00 a.m. at the HS Band Room.
Also, 8th graders have scheduled for their HS classes next year but I wanted to take a minute and just plug the HS Band some more. The future of the LHS Bands are our Middle School Band students and each and every student is an important part of our future as a band. Our wish is that ALL of our students make the decision to be involved with the HS Band in some capacity. Students will be challenged but will also have a blast performing and rehearsing while building strong friendships with other band students. Not to mention the exciting trips we take as a group. Even though schedules have been made, it's not too late to get signed up.
6th Graders-You now have Band Festival music in hand. This music should be your focus for the next several weeks. Please be practicing this music!
Thanks again for those who attended and or helped at the HS concert last night. All of the directors are so proud of all of our students 6-12 and can't wait to show them ALL off at the Band Festival on April 6!
