The bands are hard at working preparing new music for the spring concert that is coming up on Thursday, May 9th at 7:00 p.m. here at LMS. Our hope is that students are practicing their music at home as we only have four weeks to prepare for our final performance of the year. We were so pleased with the bands last weekend and we can't wait to present our spring concert to you in May.
Attention all 7th and 8th grade students and parents:
Solo and Ensemble is NEXT SATURDAY! Report time is 6:45 a.m. (yes that early). Students will be performing their pieces as well as supporting their peers as they perform throughout the day. Once your student is finished with their performance(s) they are free to leave with a parent provided they bring a note into Mr. Stankey or Ms. Mariano by next Friday. Any student not leaving with their parents will be riding the bus home. We anticipate arriving back to LMS at approx. 5:00 p.m. We ask that students bring $5-$10 for their lunch in the AHS cafeteria.
We are also in need of Homeroom chaperones at Alliance HS. We are allowed to have a warmup room at AHS as long as there is an adult present. The band directors will be busy with all of the performances so we need parent volunteers to sit in the homeroom throughout the day. We are asking for volunteers to chaperone in one hour shifts. Available times are 8-9, 9-10, 10-11, 11-12, 12-1, 1-2, and 2-3. Please contact Mr. Stankey or Ms. Mariano if you are able to help. We will not be allowed to make use of the warmup room without an adult chaperone so we would appreciate your time very much!
